This post is WAY late in coming. Pick your poison as to why, but lets just say life got away from me. On to the fun stuff! For the first year since we’ve been performing with the show, Lux Arati got to open the Russian Roulette Variety Show. It was fantastic not to have to wait the whole time to perform and be able to enjoy the rest of the acts. We had a great time, and can’t wait to put together our next RRVS piece! Fantastic photos thanks to William Tanksley and Redlite. (Raw video of the piece is here.)
It was a rough winter here on the East Coast, but on this beautiful warm day it seems that Spring has finally arrived for good. We’ve been busy bees at our Lux Arati headquarters, scheming and dreaming and working away at new and exciting things for the upcoming summer. New tricks to learn, new props to play with and always more costumes to make! We’re all really excited about what we’ve got in store for the months ahead. Keep an eye on this space and our facebook page for some sneak peaks and updates on where we’ll be performing next.
While I’m pretty sure I’ve posted this before, I figure can’t hurt to share again. For all those out there with nice toasty wicks, here’s a quick way to refresh your props so you’re ready to go this summer. Enjoy, and burn bright!
Last summer a few of us got together with the great folks over at Assembly, an awesome production company based in nearby Manayunk, to shoot a quick scene for a project they were working on. The final project hasn’t come out yet, but they recently put together an awesome little promo for us from the footage we got that night. Take a look! (They wrote about the project on their blog over here.)
And let the madness begin! We’ve got quite the summer coming up, and what way to kick it off than a week full of events? Come catch some of the ladies from Lux Arati at two fun (and free!) upcoming gigs:

We’re working on tracking down footage and photos of some of the fun stuff we’ve done this summer that we haven’t posted about yet… I promise it’s coming! Until then, here are a few photos taken by the lovely Laura Rachfalski (thefalsk.com) from one of our nights at ARTLantic in AC. More to come!
