We can’t thank everyone who came out to our very first fundraising event enough. We had such beautiful weather and such wonderful people! Not to mention some amazing photos… thank you so much to both Redlite Photos and The Color Crew for sharing your images with us. Make sure to go like their facebook pages (here and here) and check out some of their other work!
Of course also huge thanks goes out to a group of our favorite fans, the whole Krampuslauf family. From helping us get the park to sending kids around on stilts to busk in the dark, we really couldn’t do it without you. We can’t wait for Krampus on the 12th!!! Oh! And if you didn’t pick up a shirt and you’ve been regretting it ever since (I know I would be!) you can get one from our ‘shop’. It isn’t a very fancy set-up, and if you’d like more than one you’ll have to message us so we can combine shopping, but check it out!
Take two on our Fall Fire and Arts Fest is just around the corner! There’s no hurricane looming, its been beautifully, if unseasonably, nice out and our list of vendors and participants just keeps getting better and better. It’s going to be a really fun event, and we can’t wait to see you there!! 2-6pm, at Liberty Lands park on Sunday, November 15th. More info is up on our facebook event here. (For some reason the facebook event is saying there are tickets available… nope, this is not a ticketed event. It is, however, a fundraiser for our troupe so we’ll be collecting donations and selling cool things, but the event is free and open to any and all who want to come.)
We’re throwing a thing! It’s going to be great and everyone should come!!!
Join us for the first annual Fall Fire & Arts Fest Performance Art Spectacular!
Hosted by Philly’s favorite fire group LUX ARATI as we end the summer festival season and transition into cooler weather, changing leaves, crisp air and the PERFECT weather for spinning fire outside!
Lux Arati will be performing their latest & greatest performance piece, “Alchemy”, that was featured at this years PEX Summer Festival as their 5th performance as part of the Russian Roulette Variety Show along with a collection of solos, duets, and smaller group numbers that are part of the LUXIE repertoire. In addition, the Luxies have invited some of their favorite local performers to put on a never–before seen collection of some of the most diverse and talented performance artists in the city of brotherly love and beyond.
This unique showcase will be immediately after the FALL ART MARKET, a chance to browse handcrafted items and so much more from local artist/business vendors.
We had a lot of fun this Halloween over at the Twisted Tail for the second year in a row. Whenever we perform in public there are always countless lenses aimed at us… I do the best I can to track down photos that are made public (thank you, geotagged instagram posts!) but occasionally I manage to touch base with some actual photographers on-site. Thank you so much, J. Allen, for following up on the business card quickly forced into your hand by a sweaty and sooty fire dancer! Check out more of his work here.
Last summer a few of us got together with the great folks over at Assembly, an awesome production company based in nearby Manayunk, to shoot a quick scene for a project they were working on. The final project hasn’t come out yet, but they recently put together an awesome little promo for us from the footage we got that night. Take a look! (They wrote about the project on their blog over here.)
