We had a ton of fun entertaining the crowd at the Twisted Tail’s annual Halloween party for the 5th year! The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and it meant that costumed patrons were out in droves. Tons of cell phones aimed at us, though I’ve had more trouble this year tracking down the images people grabbed. (I kept yelling “Hashtag LuxArati!” but I don’t know that anyone heard me, haha.) Luckily this time I had my own camera with me and was able to get some not-so-bad ones. Lux Arati friend Laura swung by to say ‘Hi’, and was a champ about taking the camera I shoved at her so I could get some photos of myself, too. Thanks Laura! Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeen!!!!
It’s that time again…. cool weather coming, sweaters, hot cider and turning leaves. Which means every fire dancer’s favorite holiday is around the corner! If you’re in the Philly area and looking for something to do, come on by the Twisted Tail! We’ll be spinning fire outside again this year, lighting up Headhouse Square with some fun fiery antics.
We had a lot of fun this Halloween over at the Twisted Tail for the second year in a row. Whenever we perform in public there are always countless lenses aimed at us… I do the best I can to track down photos that are made public (thank you, geotagged instagram posts!) but occasionally I manage to touch base with some actual photographers on-site. Thank you so much, J. Allen, for following up on the business card quickly forced into your hand by a sweaty and sooty fire dancer! Check out more of his work here.
This was a very Day-of-the-Dead themed Halloween for us this year. A few ladies spun fire over at Twisted Tail, as part of their 3rd Annual Halloween party. And last weekend we had the whole crew together (all 8 of us!) for some awesome spinning at the Sexton Sideshow. Friend photographers Zamani and Alexis came, too, and got some fantastic shots. What a great Halloween!
A few of the ladies you know and love from Lux Arati (as well as some new members that we can’t wait to introduce to you!) entertained the crowd at the 7th annual PEX Halloween party, hosted at the Battleship NJ. The weather was beautiful, and it seemed like a fun time was had by all. I’d highly recommend you click on the picture over the the left… Xtiina is doing a great job representing the Luxies! One day we’ll all get to wear the costumes we made for the fated PEX Summer Fest… one day….
