Rally for the Rail Park at Union Transfer

I’m a little late in posting this, but we were waiting on our fire permit and it just came through this morning…. We’re super psyched to be part of another event for the Rail Park, this time at Union Transfer! Grid Philly has a nice write-up about the event here, and you can buy tickets to the event on the Rail Park’s page here.

We’ll be doing some inside dancing for the cocktail party, then spinning fire outside. Fingers crossed that the beautiful weather from today keeps up!

Halloween is the best time of year

20131027_000512

This was a very Day-of-the-Dead themed Halloween for us this year. A few ladies spun fire over at Twisted Tail, as part of their 3rd Annual Halloween party. And last weekend we had the whole crew together (all 8 of us!) for some awesome spinning at the Sexton Sideshow. Friend photographers Zamani and Alexis came, too, and got some fantastic shots. What a great Halloween!

What a busy summer it has been!

The summer has been a whirl wind. We had fun down at the shore with ARTLantic, playing with some new non-fire props. We lit up the stage on two nights at PEX Summer fest, and hung out on Broad Street with theatre goers, giving them a different kind of show. We palled around with my favorite bartender in town, who finally got to see why I sometimes show up for a pint in the strangest post-show ensembles. (Full stage make-up and regular clothes? Why not, haha.) Some good friends came by and grabbed some great photos, and we’re working with folks we met at our shows to book some upcoming gigs. Not a bad summer. Not bad at all.

Fringe in Philadelphia!

Its Fringe Fest time in Philadelphia! We’re excited to be participating this year at a fundraiser/awareness event for the new Reading Viaduct Rail Park. We’ll be spinning fire around 9:00pm as part of the after party. It sounds like it is going to be a pretty fun event. Come on by!! The whole after-party will be 7:30-11pm. Tickets can be bought here, $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
